ArcGIS 10 ArcMap Editing Environment and the Parcel Fabric Dataset - Mark Scott, ESRI

GIS Professional Certification & GISCI - Steven Santovasi, GISP

Friday January 28, 2011

9am - noon

MDC Training Center
125 Maxim Road, Hartford, CT 06114
(860) 278-7850 Ext. 3600

In addition to the brief discussion regarding some U2U business (electing officers, etc.) the agenda features an expert presentation on ArcGIS 10 ArcMap editing environment and the Parcel Fabric Dataset by Mark Scott with ESRI.  Mark will discuss with ArcGIS 10 how the ArcMap editing environment has been simplified and enhanced to reduce button clicks, providing a more intuitive, sketch-based editing experience and decrease the time required to create and maintain your GIS data presentation.  He will also introduce the cadastral fabric, which is a new type of dataset in the geodatabase used to represent and hold data for a continuous surface of connected parcels.

We are also very happy to have Steven Santovasi, GISP, (www.staticmap.org) who is a GISCI Core Competency Committee member and GISP with us to discuss and perhaps demystify the very important topic regarding what it takes to earn and maintain the GISP certification and provides reasons in support of obtaining your certification.
