Elections

Candidate Registration Link for Steering Committee Elections.
Elections will be held during the zoom meeting.
Majority vote wins the seat.
Candidates will be presented in written format with name and short blurb (no public speaking).
Available seats for Steering committee include
- Municipal Representative (Sector Seat)
- Private Sector Representative (Sector Seat)
- Utility Representative (Sector Seat, partial term)
- Nonprofit Representative (Sector Seat, partial term)
- Member At Large
- Member At Large
- Member At Large
- Member At Large
If a candidate runs for a Sector Seat and do not win, they will be placed into the Member at Large Ballot
We will run an election for each seat starting with Sector Seats.
Steering committee duties and benefits include
- Assist in coordinating at least one GIS Network Meeting or event. (This is done in teams)
- Attend Steering Meeting (1/month). This is to get state GIS updates and check in on meeting coordination. Meetings are fun and never go over an hour.
- Serve as a point of contact for GIS Network information. Receive and share information.
- You get to really expand your professional network and be front row to State GIS activities.
Steering members after the meeting will elect executive roles of
- President.
- Vice President
- Secretary
